Culinary/Kitchen Manager

Culinary/Kitchen Manager:

We are looking for a talented individual to manage the kitchen.  This is where it all starts, great food!  This person will help to ensure that all orders are cooked according to the customer's request and company expectations, while following safety procedures.  This includes ensuring necessary staffing levels are met and that staff is provided with training both initially and on-going.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain necessary staffing levels at all times through proper hiring and scheduling.
  • Train staff on how to adequately prepare all menu items.
  • Coordinate preparation of ingredients and food items for busy intervals.
  • Provide on-going training as needed.
  • Assist in menu item creation.
  • Monitor waste and food cost, and assist in ordering.
  • Work with Master Chef to establish portion sizes and prepare standard recipe cards for all new menu items.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure proper closing duties are established and followed.
  • Other duties based on business needs.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to motivate the team to perform at a high level.
  • Cleanliness.
  • Prior kitchen experience required.
  • Ability to work well with all staff departments.
  • Determined to deliver the best of everything.
